Focus Pilates is a new online, outdoor and at-home space for movers of all levels, genders, races, shapes and sizes. It is all about energy, heart and good vibrations. The story is where our focus goes energy flows. The power of transformation comes from the knowledge of how and why we move. The technique of Pilates changes our posture which can change our confidence and how we feel.
My personal philosophy is to create movement that inspires the mind, body and heart connection: the magic is in the movement. The goal is to keep it simple, holistic, to spark connection and to help clients feel successful. Having a focused body & mind means you will feel stronger, more flexible, more agile and able to move with less physical tension and mental stress. My focus as a Pilates instructor is making the most of your workout through focusing on technique and posture. I feel there is not enough importance put on how effective your workouts can be when you hone in on your Pilates technique.
I want my clients to set a new standard for their body and what it deserves - to treat it with love and care because confidence and beauty starts from within.
From where it all began...

Hi everyone! This is my story about how I arrived here. I share this with you as if we are sitting around a campfire getting to know one another. I’m a once university administrator turned Pilates instructor, small business owner, and wellness advocate. I believe in following your heart and the good vibes. I was super burned out from the grind and it was time for me to focus on what was important in my life and this was health. This a big reason for this business being called FOCUS. It is to remind us of what is important.
Movement and nature have always been a sanctuary for me. In my teens I was a competitive cheerleader and tumbler. In my twenties I started group exercise, weight lifting, pilates and yoga. I have always been moving. The key to the big changes in my practice was Pilates and breathwork. I believe in how the two create transformation in the mindset and the body. I have benefited from this first hand and now share directly with you! My training is in STOTT PILATES, 5ELEMENTS YOGA, Booty Barre and I’m an ACE Personal Trainer.
Working with different teachers and mentors have taught me to love, respect and care for my body and learn the importance of a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. I have learned the importance of training effectively and there is a big need in the movement industry to focus on technique. We need to know why we are moving and where to start. We need to learn how our posture and breath influence our movements. There also is a need for fitness to incorporate therapeutic aspects to training. I have personal healed my broken wrist and severely bruised knee from a motorcycle accident through Pilates. Clients come to me to work on their pre & post natal bodies, relieve low back pain, improve agility and many more posture imbalances.
It is my greatest pleasure to bring my lifetime of movement and wellness to FOCUS PILATES.
